Availability & Leasing

What floor plans are available at The Lakes of Holland?

Our community offers spacious two- and three-bedroom townhome-style apartments, each thoughtfully updated and designed around comfort and functionality. Every home includes a private entryway, a designated dining area, well-defined living space, and an in-unit washer and dryer. Updated kitchens open into bright living areas, and sliding glass doors lead to a private patio. Bedroom layouts are arranged to give everyone in the household a comfortable sense of separation and privacy. Visit our Floor Plans page or reach out to the leasing team to see which layouts are open right now.

Can I tour the community before I apply?

Absolutely. Touring is the best way to get a feel for the layout, setting, and atmosphere here. You can walk through an available townhome, see the clubhouse and fitness center, and spend time around the community ponds and grounds. Schedule a tour online through our Schedule A Tour page or contact the leasing office directly, and our team will find a time that works for you.

What does the application process involve?

Once you've chosen the townhome you want, each leaseholder will complete the online application, submit the application fee and holding deposit (one per reservation), and provide any required documentation. Applications are reviewed for income, credit, rental history, and public criminal records. If an applicant does not meet eligibility requirements, the holding deposit is refunded.

How quickly will I hear back about approval?

Most applications are processed within 13 business days once all required documents have been received. Timing depends on verification needs, whether an applicant's background screening is in-state or out-of-state, and how quickly supporting information is submitted. Our leasing team will keep you updated throughout the review.

Which lease terms does the community offer?

The Lakes of Holland offers lease terms ranging from 6 to 15 months. Please contact the leasing office or submit an inquiry online for current lease term options.

Is there a waitlist if my preferred layout isn't open?

Yes. If the townhome layout you want isn't currently available, you can join the priority waitlist by submitting an online application, a $50 application fee per person, and a $150 priority reservation deposit. Our leasing team will contact you as soon as a matching home opens up.

What makes The Lakes of Holland different from other townhomes in Holland, MI?

Space and privacy are the biggest differences. Rather than stacked apartment living, our residents get townhome-style homes with private entryways, private patios, and in-home laundry, the kind of everyday independence that's hard to find among apartments for rent in Holland MI. Add thoughtfully designed interiors, community ponds with outdoor seating, a 24-hour fitness center, and a location minutes from Lake Michigan and downtown Holland, and the result is a coastal-inspired community that feels welcoming rather than overstated.

Townhome Features

What are the kitchens like in the renovated townhomes?

Kitchens have been fully renovated with white shaker-style cabinetry, and stainless-steel appliances that include a glass top stove and an above-range microwave. Each kitchen is an eat-in layout with a breakfast bar, and it opens toward the living area so cooking stays connected to the rest of the home. A designated dining area sits just beyond for larger meals.

Does each townhome have its own washer and dryer?

Yes. Every townhome includes an in-unit washer and dryer. No shared laundry room, no coin machines, no hauling baskets across the property. Laundry happens on your schedule, inside your own home.

What finishes and flooring are used throughout the homes?

Wood-style laminate flooring runs through the main living areas for a clean, durable finish that holds up to everyday use, while bedrooms are carpeted for added warmth and comfort. Window treatments come included in every townhome, so there's nothing to buy or install before move-in day.

How much closet and storage space is there?

Each layout includes thoughtful storage throughout, and select homes feature a walk-in closet with built-in shelving. The two-story townhome design also naturally separates living and sleeping areas, which keeps everyday clutter out of the main living space.

Do the townhomes have private entrances and outdoor space?

They do. Every home has its own private entryway; you come and go through your own front door rather than a shared corridor. Sliding glass doors off the living area open onto a private patio, which brings in natural light during the day and gives you an easy outdoor spot for morning coffee, grilling, or letting the dog out.

How is heating and cooling handled?

Central air conditioning and heating are standard in every townhome, so you have year-round control over your indoor temperature, which is helpful through humid West Michigan summers and lake-effect winters alike. Ceiling fans are also included to help circulate air and keep energy use in check.

Is there room to work from home?

There is. The open living areas, separate designated dining space, and multi-level townhome layout give you real flexibility to set up a desk without giving up your living room. In three-bedroom homes, the additional bedroom works well as a dedicated office or hobby room.

Are furnished townhomes available?

Townhomes are offered unfurnished, but our leasing team can connect you with third-party furnishing providers if you'd like help outfitting your new home before move-in.

What outdoor spaces can residents enjoy?

The community ponds are the centerpiece; it's surrounded by lounge seating and landscaped grounds, and it's a genuinely pleasant place to spend an evening. Nearby, our outdoor dining area with a grill is set up for casual gatherings and weekend cookouts, and a playground gives younger residents a place of their own. Professional landscaping keeps the grounds looking their best throughout the year.

Is there a fitness center and clubhouse?

Our 24-hour fitness center means workouts fit around your schedule rather than the other way around, whether that's an early morning session before the commute or something later in the evening. The clubhouse offers a comfortable indoor space to relax, catch up with neighbors, or spread out with a laptop away from home.
